Two generations

We started in 1992 under the name of SIP Outdoor activities SL as a 4WD Technical Development Centre and 4WD courses.

The origens of this company are linked to 3 persons: Mr. Estanis and Toni Soler (former enduro and motocross riders with a wide experience in the sport event management) and Mr. Joan Pallarès (owner of the popular Hotel Can Boix de Peramola). In 1992 they decide to create this company specialized in the development and training related to offroad driving naming it SIP Outdoor Activities SL.

1992

The creation of SIP Outdoor Activities SL

The Offroad company SIP Outdoor Activities is founded by 3 different experts in the motor events, as a driving courses technical centre.

1996

Placement of the first stone at Bassella Service Area

The first stone of the area is laid at the kilometre point 134 on the road C-14. This project will become the future Bassella Service Area.

The Bassella service area is composed by the main offices of baSSella experiences, the fast food restaurant Pans&Company, the Bassella Motorcycle Museum and the Repsol petrol station.

1997

Start of the relationship with the most important automotive brands

SIP Outdoor Activities initiates the contacts with relevant positions within German automotive companies, in charge of the development of new Offroad vehicles.

1998

Mr. Toni Soler passes away

Mr. Toni Soler, founder and Director of SIP Outdoor Activities, as well as one of the key figures during the creation of this company, dies during a fatal car accident.

2001

Opening of the Bassella Service Area.

A project would finally become reality. The main building of the Bassella Service Area, with the Motorcycle Museum and the fastfood restaurant Pans&Company opens its doors to the public.

2002

Development of the first Volkswagen Touareg

After several years secretly carrying out its development in baSSella experiences' facilities, in 2002 the extraordinary Volkswagen Touareg makes its debut with an international press presentation in the same place where it was designed and improved. At the very same place where it was created.

That was just the beginning of a commercial relationship with Volkswagen that has lasted until today.

2003

Incorporation of the current Manager Mr. Pau Soler

After several years working in the automotive sector around the world, Mr. Pau Soler, son of one of the founders, starts a new era in this family-owned company.

2006

Creation of Club SIP Sport

Creation of Club Sip Sport, a motorcycle and automobile sports affiliated entity, with the aim of organizing competitions:

2009

The first edition of the Bassella Offroad School takes place: The baSSella experiences enduro summer camp for children and teenagers has been growing strong year after year and reaching full capacity.
